Prima, Indonesian student in the
Master's program

From Indonesia to Nantes, Prima found a multicultural community to learn from. Prima discovered new design fields, from space to urban and product design, grew alongside classmates from all around the world, and learned to appreciate how warm and helpful French people can be, between classes and peaceful breaks in Nantes!

What do you appreciate in your studies here?

I really appreciate this school, which is teaching me so many new things about interior design, urban planning, product design - fields I’m just beginning to explore. And I love how the professors really give us the opportunity to deepen our knowledge in these areas.

Why is it interesting to work with students with other cultures and nationalities?

The other students come from different majors, they’re from another country, and they have a lot of knowledge that I hadn’t really picked up on before. So it’s a really fun way to learn new things through my friends.

What surprised you the most about France?

I love the air in Nantes. It's very clean. My favorite place is the Jardin des Plantes, because I can relax there.

I used to think the French were cold, but in reality, they’re very warm. Sometimes, when I get lost, I ask for directions and the French kindly point me in the right direction, they’re also very polite in stores.

What's your favorite French dish?

I know it's pretty basic, but I really love croissants and raclette.
