Rebeauty
France is the world leader in cosmetics. However, this sector produces 55,000 tons of cosmetic packaging each year. Despite the 2020 Anti-Waste Law for a Circular Economy, which mandates the phasing out of single-use plastics, 75% of cosmetic packaging will be used only once.
ReBeauty was born out of the urgent need to rethink makeup. The project focuses on reusing two products that are currently overlooked in reuse channels: lipstick and mascara. With interchangeable brushes and durable materials, the containers are cleaned and refurbished to extend their lifespan. The deposit system is managed through kiosks at various points of sale. ReBeauty revitalizes beauty without harming living beings and ecosystems.
This project has been selected as part of Design L'Expo 2023 and will be exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from 24 january to 10 march 2024.

"Clémentine's mission is to embed cosmetics within a circular and local approach. She explored efficient ways to implement a deposit system dedicated to makeup. Consumers are increasingly demanding in terms of the quality of product contents, but what about the containers?
The designer highlighted the lack of responsible practices in this area. Overall, her project revolves around promoting responsible and local consumption." Anaïs Jacquard, Teaching Manager City Design Lab
