Flow
Flow was born from an observation: deaf gamers are often excluded from team games by "hearing" gamers. Players transmit information to each other and elaborate complex strategies using their voice. Deaf players are therefore seen as "penalizing" others.
William has designed Flow, a solution that contains 3 objects that facilitate access to the hearing world:
1. the "Hub" placed under the screen translates the communications by means of pictograms;
2. the "Pad" allows you to send pre-recorded voice messages to your partners;
3. the "V-meter" indicates the emotions transmitted by your teammates' voices through a system of colors.
Designed with and for deaf gamers, Flow brings deaf and hearing players together on an equal footing!
This project has been selected as part of Design L'Expo 2022 and will be exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from 3 December 2022 to 26 February 2023.

With Flow, William offers deaf people easier access to video games and much more.

"William tackles a subject that is very close to his heart. Nevertheless, he has demonstrated objectivity and method to propose a very relevant solution. His innovation is groundbreaking, as nothing like it currently exists on the market.
With Flow, William offers deaf people easier access to video games and much more. The users who have tested it have spontaneously adopted its concept. They even plan to use it in other circumstances: in telecommuting or during speech therapy, for example. This is the sign of a fair innovation, in tune with contemporary uses."
