Khore.ia
Did you know that it is possible to write a movement in the same way that you compose music? Khore.ia aims to make "movement scores" or "pure works" of choreographers accessible to blind and visually impaired people. Like Braille, the Khore.ia project uses its own choreographic writing system accessible in relief.
A creation software is associated with two joysticks manipulated by the dancer. Two reading windows, superimposed one on top of the other, display 8 symbols in relief that indicate the specific position of the artist in the space. The dance takes shape and comes to life. Finally, it becomes visible, even for those who cannot see it.

"Through Khore.ia, Raphaëlle Gorenboug addresses the visually impaired dancer. She adopts the inclusive design process to create her product and service. Khore.ia will be accessible to all, without specific adaptation.
As a service designer, Capucine (Raphaëlle ??) is always in the field. Her observations led her to formulate a hypothesis: the physical contact of the choreographer is essential. She proposed to learn a choreography through touch. This proposal would be validated and developed with the stakeholders.
Inspired by her documentary research, she transposed the systems of choreographic notation into a new grammar that is both tactile and intuitive.
Her project is also one of applied research: transmitting a haptic signal to the motor brain through haptic reading. She imagined a matrix of remote interactions between the choreographer’s application and the dancer’s artifact.
The holistic approach of "Khore.ia" is focused on user experience. The sensory and augmented relationship between dancer and choreographer is reinforced by design." Arnaud Le Roi - Teaching Manager Digital Design Lab.
