Crescendo
In France, 6 million people suffer from mild or profound deafness. Among them, 80% have become deaf during their lives. Music, which creates resilience and social ties, can play an important role in their self-acceptance.
Charlène, who has always been passionate about music, created the Crescendo application. Thanks to this app, deaf and hard of hearing people can experience music à la carte: a tactile experience of music, co-creation of collective melodies, adaptation of musical frequencies...
Accessible via a monthly subscription system, Crescendo compensates for hearing loss. The application uses a tactile and collective approach to make music that is 100% inclusive!
This project has been selected as part of Design L'Expo 2022 and will be exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from 3 December 2022 to 26 February 2023.
"
Crescendo is a new kind of application. It offers music that is accessible at all times and adapted to the user's hearing profile.

"Today, there are several solutions on the market that offer deaf people improved access to music. Vibrating backpacks, light shows or sign singing are available at festivals or concerts. However, these devices are ephemeral.
Crescendo is a new kind of application. It offers music that is accessible at all times and adapted to the user's hearing profile. As well as federating a community, Crescendo helps people who have become hard of hearing to accept their new reality and to combat the isolation they face." Teaching Manager Care Design Lab
