Bloid
Can you picture the front door of your home? The one you open every morning? Good. In Quebec and elsewhere, thousands of young boys are unable to do this. In fact, they have been living locked up in their homes for years... The Hikikomori syndrome, born in Japan in the late 1990s, has caused social isolation of young people around the world.
As a UX UI Designer, Allan created a solution dedicated to these isolated Quebecers: Bloid. The application is associated with the growth of a blob, an extraordinary being composed of a single cell that is almost immortal. Bloid generates daily challenges adapted to the user's profile and encourages him to surpass himself. If he succeeds, he feeds the blob which grows and prospers. In this way, Bloid helps the user to re-enter the real world.
This project has been selected as part of Design L'Expo 2022 and will be exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from 3 December 2022 to 26 February 2023.

To design and produce this project means knowing how to question oneself. Allan has done all this and more.

"A design project means providing a solution to a social issue. To design and produce this project means knowing how to question oneself. Allan has done all this and more.
Bloid offers a real accompaniment to young people in a situation of isolation. The psychological issues of this target are found within an application, itself linked to a blob that accompanies the user's approach. The Bloid model, showcased in full size, supports an essential argument: taking care of a living being is above all about taking care of oneself.
