A focus on New Mobilities
As the patterns shaping the movements of goods and people are undergoing a significant crisis, rethinking the link between human beings and mobility is now an urgent necessity on the individual as well as the collective level.
In order to face the inevitable transformations intricately linked with sustainable development, designers must come up with user scenarios based on new material solutions that veer off the beaten track followed by traditional industrial sectors.
The Master’s program New Mobilities trains designers to find their voice in this context of ever-changing uses.
Design training:
Students are required to conduct several projects conducted via an industrial partnership revolving around this theme and a final degree project addressing an issue related to new mobilities.
All throughout this long-term process they are guided and advised by experts such as designers, industrial partners, researchers and professionals...
Design applications in this field
• transportation of people and goods (equipment and vehicles),
• mobility-facilitating services and alternatives to movement,
• mobile information systems,
• multimodal transportation,
• communication,
• infrastructure design...
