Asia Campus: L’École de design reinforces its presence in India
After two years of collaboration and exchanges with the Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology in Bangalore (India), L’École de design has just signed an agreement with its partner allowing a growth of its activities.
The school now has its own academic and administrative structure, whose mission will be to develop the master’s programs “Transcultural Design”. The program will welcome 30 international students in September 2012 and 40 in 2013. The program is managed by Kshitiz Anand, Designer Researcher who graduated at Indiana University Bloomington (USA), under the responsibility of Chris Ebbert, the dean of the Asia Campus of L’École de design, previously dean at the Otago University (New Zealand). Asia Campus now gathers the schools of Shanghai (China Campus) and Bangalore (India Campus) under a single direction team.
This new agreement sanctions the international development strategy of L’École de design Nantes Atlantique, which is actually exploring other possibilities of implantations, notably in Canada (Québec), Morocco and Brazil.
In september 2012, Asia Campus will gather 90 students on its two sites. The two branches will work together in educational partnerships with French companies (Decathlon, Malherbe, Adeo, Orange...) multinational companies implanted in China or India (Kenwood, GE Healthcare, Johnson Controls...).
